Navigate
In web terms: The same as Browse.
Navigation
To move around a website by following hypertext paths (or links) from page to page (or document to document).
Navigational Flow
The ease (or difficulty) that visitors experience navigating a website. It is the flow or intuitiveness of the website navigation. Good navigational flow is when a visitor easily finds the links to what they are looking for.
NetBEUI -- (Net Bios Extended User Interface)
An enhanced version of NetBIOS (given next).
NetBIOS -- (Network Basic Input Output System)
An application programming interface (API) with functions for local-area networks (LAN). Used by DOS and Windows.
Netiquette
The etiquette on the Internet.
Netizen
Derived from the term citizen, referring to a citizen of the Internet, or someone who uses networked resources. The term connotes civic responsibility and participation.
Netscape
A WWW Browser and the name of a company. The Netscape (tm) browser was originally based on the Mosaic program developed at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
Network
Any time you connect 2 or more computers together so that they can share resources, you have a computer network. Connect 2 or more networks together and you have an internet.
Neulevel
The registry that is responsible for operating the new TLD, .biz.
Newsgroup
An on-line discussion group (a section on a news server) dedicated to a particular subject of interest.
The name for discussion groups on USENET.
